 Together with her brother, José Luis, Olimpia carried the dream of creating a sanctuary like Casa Colibrí for more than 30 years.

Life, however, took her on a different path, one filled with challenges, growth, and deep lessons. Yet every step, every experience, became part of the journey that would eventually lead her back to this origin

Life, however, took her on a different path, one filled with challenges, growth, and deep lessons. Yet every step, every experience, became part of the journey that would eventually lead her back to this original vision.

Now, having come full circle, she brings with her not only a dream, but the wisdom, strength, and heart to bring it fully to life.

Casa Colibrí is the embodiment of that journey, a space born from time, resilience, and the unwavering belief that what is meant for us will always find its way back home.  

Originally from Mexico, Olimpia shares her time between Airdrie Alberta in Canada and Miacatlan Morelos. Her journey has been guided by resilience, creativity, and a lifelong devotion to caring for others. Through years of life experience, she cultivated a profound understanding of what it means to hold space, for healing, for growth, and for reconnection.

Casa Colibrí was born from her vision of creating a place where people can return to themselves, where nature, ancestral traditions, and heartfelt human connection come together in harmony.

With a deep respect for Mexican culture and its sacred practices, Olimpia weaves together experiences such as Temazcal, meditation, and mindful living, offering guests an authentic and nurturing environment for renewal.

His journey took him across the world through his work, exposing him to different cultures, ways of life, and perspectives. Yet no matter how far he traveled, there was always a quiet calling within him, one that eventually led him back home.

Coming full circle, he now brings with him a lifetime of experience, vision, and respect for the land. His presence at Casa Colibrí reflects a grounded strength and a deep commitment to honoring nature, community, and ancestral wisdom.

Together with Olimpia and Jana, he has helped bring Casa Colibrí to life, a space where people can reconnect with themselves, with each other, and with the natural rhythms that guide us all.

 For José Luis, Casa Colibrí is more than a retreat, it is the embodiment of a lifelong vision. A sacred space where simplicity, authenticity, and connection come together to support deep transformation and honor the wisdom of our ancestors.
